RAZER Releases Video For MARTY FRIEDMAN Co-Penned Track 'Do You Want It'
August 17, 2011"Do You Want It", the new video from Phoenix, Arizona rockers RAZER, can be seen below. The song was co-written by ex-MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman and RAZER bassist Chris Catero, who has served as Friedman's touring bassist on and off for the past several years. Friedman also guest solos on the track as well. The clip was shot at the ber-popular rocker hotspot Shotgun Betty's in Scottsdale, Arizona.
"Do You Want It" comes off RAZER's latest album, "Dark Devotion", which was helmed by 116 Productions producers Chuck Alkazian and Matt Novesky. Catero, guitarist Paul Sullivan and drummer Eric Bongiorno formerly of Metal Blade Records artist WARDOG solidified RAZER with the addition of guitarist Jeromy Graves and the commanding vocals of Chris Powers. Their songs are a combination of muscular and heavy riffs, tight arrangements, evolved musical playing and true pop sensibilities, making for a unique blend that appeals to both the average radio listener and the most avid pit mosher.
RAZER's heavy sound, a combination of exceptionally strong songwriting and Powers' powerhouse vocals, has garnered attention nationwide, resulting in Powers being selected by "Guitar Hero" video game song producer Steve Ouimette to sing on the ending track "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" on "Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock".
